Disclosures
The conflicts, stated in full, and what is done about them.
The principal conflict
This project defines and grades a field of clinical practice. Its editor, Ryan Sultan, MD, directs a fee-for-service integrative psychiatry practice in New York City and derives income from clinical work in the field this site describes.
A reader is entitled to weigh that. Someone who defines a category and also sells services within it has an interest in how the category is drawn, and no editorial policy fully removes that interest. What follows is the set of arrangements intended to limit it, so that the interest can at least be reasoned about.
Structural safeguards
| Safeguard | Detail |
|---|---|
| No referral pathway | This site contains no booking link, no contact form, no enquiry capture, and no navigational route to the editor’s practice or to any other practice. Affiliations are named here and nowhere else on the site. |
| No commerce | No advertising, sponsorship, paid placement, or affiliate link. Nothing is sold. No supplement, laboratory, device, or platform revenue of any kind reaches this project. |
| No directory | No practitioner listing, paid or unpaid, and no certification, badge, or endorsement offered to clinicians. |
| Standards applied to the editor | The grading framework places dispensary revenue and prescriber-sold diagnostic testing outside the term. The editor’s practice operates no supplement dispensary and sells no laboratory testing. |
| Adverse findings published | Tier C and Tier D assignments are published for methods commonly offered in integrative practice, including methods a fee-for-service practice could profitably provide. |
